Where do is your favorite city view?
After a long day of exploring Heidelberg – complete with pretzels and beer – it was hard to stay out after the sun went down. However, a trip to the top of the Philosopher’s Way for sunset guaranteed we’d see the city at night.
We actually raced up the hill, trying to catch sunset over the city. Sadly, it was pretty clouded in, so we really didn’t have much of a show. However, the sun did poke through right as it neared the horizon, lighting up the castle beautifully for just a few minutes.
Though we didn’t get much of a sunset, the Heidelberg Schloss is lit up after dark, serving as a wonderful centerpiece to the village that we could admire our entire journey back down.
